| Elmsford Names New Superintendent of Schools |
| On March 5, 2008, The Elmsford Board of Education appointed Dr. Barbara Peters
as Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2008. Dr. Peters is currently the Superintendent of the Tonawanda City School District, located in the Buffalo area. She brings experience as an assistant superintendent, building principal and classroom teacher to the Elmsford Public Schools. Dr. Peters was selected from a pool of over 50 candidates and emerged as a leader who closely matched the leadership profile that staff and community members helped to create last fall.  |
