Professional Development

As per Commissioner's Regulations 100.2 and 100.11, the Elmsford Public Schools has created a Professional Development/Shared Decision Making Committee.

This committed group of teachers, parents, teaching assistants, support staff and community members has used the Richard DuFour's work on building Professional Learning Communities as the theoretical framework for its work. This group created the Mission, Vision (pdf) and Value Statements (pdf) that have been adopted by the Board of Education and is now working diligently to finalize and collect data on goals set for each of the District's three buildings. In addition, the parents who are members of this committee have set some goals as well.
