Farewell

Farewell & Thank You
Dr. Hendrickson!

Dear Dr. Robert Hendrickson,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Village Staff and I, we would like to thank you for doing an excellent job as Principal of the Alexander Hamilton High School. Even though it was for one short year, your time spent here surely was very productive.

It was great getting to know you and working with you. Enjoy your retirement and good luck in the future.

Sincerely,
Bob

I am so happy that I had the opportunity to work with you during the 2007-08 school year. You were a breath of fresh air and have taught all of us to re-examine our mental models with respect to working in a junior/senior high setting. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with a principal of your caliber.

All the best,

Carol Franks-Randall
Superintendent of Schools
You turned what could have been a stressful horror into an enjoyable school year. I've really enjoyed working with you and watching you interact with the students. Enjoy those grandchildren!

Best wishes,
Roe

A PRINCIPLE'S PRAYER
(For Dr. Robert Hendrickson, By Lisa V. Clark-Rowell)

Lord in heaven as I proceed to work,
Help me to overlook the minor quirks.

As I sit at my desk, and begin a new day,
Give me the strength and the right words to say.

I realize I'm not perfect and that none of us are,
My students, whom I care about, sometimes push me quite far.

I do the best I can With the power I am given;
To lead them down the right path, and to keep them driven.

If given a chance, the problems I'll attempt to solve;
But I need you o lord, I need you involved.

So at the end of the day when I start to unwind,
Saying "Goodnight students and staff, it family time."

As I turn off my lights and walk out the door,
I thank you lord for this day and what you've helped me endure.

It starts again tomorrow, but I know you'll see me through,
Because our father, who art in heaven, my strength comes from you!

Dr. Bob Hendrickson,

Bob, your sense of humor is beyond reasoning (smile). For the short time that I have known you, you have made me use my facial muscles more than I would like to remember.

I wish you much success in the future, and hope that your next assignment would be as enchanting as this one. Please take care of those little ones that will be getting back at you in couple years, by calling you, "Grand Pappy."

Stay well and be healthy. Please continue to, in your own way, encourage others to let laughter be like good medicine, by your great sense of comedy.

Sincerely,

Sandra Carolyn Myke

Dr. Hendrickson,

May your pockets have a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your window pane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer.

Thank you for all of your help this year.
