2009 College Essay Workshop
On May 14, 2009, the Guidance Department hosted a College Essay Workshop for Juniors in the Alexander Hamilton High School Cafeteria. The evening included Mr. Bruce Hammond, one of the co-authors of the Fiske Guides, most notably, the "Real College Essays that Work." Mr. Hammond has appeared on a wide range of national broadcasts, and the guidance department was very happy to have him to join us for the evening to help our Juniors work on their essays. Mr. Hammond was very insightful and the Juniors really enjoyed the workshop. This workshop allowed our Juniors to begin thinking about the college process and the essays they will need to write for next year.
